Recent Activity
Lori had three pieces accepted into the 14th National Juried Contemporary Exhibition presented by the Western Colorado Center for the Arts in Grand Junction, Colorado. The show will run May 13 - June 25. The works in the show will be "Swiftly Gone," Constructed Landscape (in 2 parts)" and "Sound of Grass."



Lori and Rob both had work accepted into GALEX 45, the 45th-annual national juried show at the Galesburg Civic Art Center. Lori's "Taking the High Road" and Rob's metal sculpture "Silver Structure 1" are in the exhibit, running March 12 through April 9.

      

Rob had work accepted into the Thirty-fifth Annual Rock Island Fine Arts Exhibition, co-sponsored by the Rock Island Art Guild and Augustana College. Rob's limestone piece, "Blunt Object" is currently on display at Rock Island. The exhibit will run March 12 through May 1.

       

Lori had a piece accepted into the “Open Small Works” exhibition of the National Association of Women Artists Gallery in New York City. The show ran February 2-22, 2011 at 80 Fifth Avenue. Over 600 submissions were received and 65 were juried into the show; Lori’s 12” x 12” mixed media piece “Impressions” was chosen for the exhibit. Seven artists were singled out for awards and Lori was one of the seven; she received an Honorable Mention. SWEET!

Best in Show at 64 Arts Exhibition
Rob's alabaster "Sound of Ice" won the "Best in Show" award at the 2010 64 Arts Exhibition in Monmouth Illinois, an internationally juried show. This same piece also won the Grand Award in the 2009 GALEX 43. Rob was delighted to receive a $1000 check in both cases.



Purchase Award in GALEX 44
Lori's mixed media piece "More Than Merely Ourselves" was given the Purchase Award at the 44th annual national juried show at the Galesburg Civic Art Center on March 13th, 2010. She received a $1000 check for the award and her work will now be part of the permanent collection of the art center.
